Costume rules for the guild are as follows:

    Women are required to wear:
         - BLOOMERS
         - At least 2 skirts
         - A chemise
         - A bodice or underbuster
        - A "monkey vest"
        - A hat and/or head covering (only required if your character is married)
        - An apron (only required while in the encampment)

    Men are required to wear:
         - Pants
        - A shirt
        - A vest
        - A belt or scarf (optional)

Every guild member should wear a "Return to Sender" at all times, and shoes are optional but highly reccomended for all members. Additional accessories are optional (such as jewelery, knives, etc.), but encouraged as they fit in well with our gypsy personas.  Stockings or socks are also reccomended in the mornings, as it is usually cold and the extra layers are a welcome addition at night as well.

Also, please note that the following colors are not allowed to be worn on any part of your costume with rare exception:

        - Purple
       - Black
       -  Red
       - Anything in shades of Neon or Electric
-Pure White (think printer paper or white out)*

*Pure white can be acceptable, but it gets dirty far too easily and as pesants we would not have been able to afford it in large amounts. Tea dipping is an easy and cheap way to tone down any shade of white that is too bright.

Fabrics should be at least natural-looking, with actual natural fabrics preferred. Good fabrics include cotton and its many forms, hemp, silk,  leathers, and denim (other than blue jean denim). Bad fabrics include plastic, polyester (unless it looks natural, though be advised, it's hot!), printed patterned fabrics, and sheers.

Any additional questions on costuming, or if you are in need of costume pieces to borrow, should be addressed to a veteran guild member or the guild leader.
